Just got back from the Race for Life 5k run. Weather.com says it was 88 and felt like 100 (Fahrenheit for both). I ran it in a (I think) respectable 30:09. I was one of two folks there in five fingers, but many had on New Balance Minimus and I saw some Merrell shoes as well.
Sam and I before the run (notice the naive smiles)
and after the run (my sign melted off)
After the run we hit the gym...
Warmup: 5k run
Workout: Seated dumbbell shoulder press (5 reps) - 45, 50, 50, 55 and 60
Cooldown: kettlebell swings - (5 reps) 45, 50, 50, 75 and 75
Breakfast was 4 eggs hard (I'm not allowed to have 5) with everything but cheese, sausage, bacon, salsa and two kiwis
I weighed myself in the gym...said I was 213, which means I lost almost ten pounds since I got here. Well, they say it's always in the last place you look.
It's important to respect the indigenous flora and fauna.
