Reading, writing, 'rithmetic

Not much happened at work tonight, so I'm going to piggyback off of last night.  The point of the whole discussion was to continually ask "Why?" and question biases, prejudices and common knowledge.  The gentleman who mentioned this ended with, "...at least that is my own bias."  This made me think of one of Kurt Vonnegut's short stories in which a scientist theorized that all highly intelligent people must have some extra gland in their brains.  He performed autopsies and proved this again and again, until he finally realized that he must have on in his head and he killed himself.  I keep searching and searching but can't find the title of the Vonnegut story, so if you know it please give me a hint.

Vonnegut shares his checklist for writing a quality short story.

Warmup: ran to the gym
Workout: Shoulder press: 5-145, 5-150, 5-155, 4-165, 2-170 (3 chinups after each set)
Cooldown: 3 38.5lb chinups, 3 bodyweight chinups

My max shoulder press is 1 rep at 175 which I did on July 11th, so I feel like this weight is getting a good bit easier.  It's amazing how much you can feel your abs, lower back and other muscles supporting the weight as you get heavy.

Diced ham: you can hide beneath fried eggs, but I'll still eat you.

Here's a snapshot of my calories the past week (fitday doesn't have nice controls to average from 24 July to 9 Aug):

I can't confirm if I'm on a ketogenic diet or not (have not purchased a ketone meter), but definitely trying to cut out the carbs.
